Beware doing business with Green Dot.

I got them, because of the AARP logo on the card.
For two years my disability was deposited to them. Because I was told I had to give up my paper checks.
Fine ok np. Got that card, and had no problems ever at all.
Until the AARP dropped them. And now I wish I'd read this beforehand lol
So I'm now filing out the online form, to swear out a complaint for fraud and theft with the Sheriff's office there in Pasadena California.
How they ever could have a A+ rating with the BBB is beyond me.
Unless of course their CEO is lining the pockets of someone with the BBB out there....Seriously, if you have no idea what or who they are, read some of the complaints, then look at the company responses.
They're all the same response, by this company no matter what the complaint.
That shows a pattern, and the pattern their responses to these complaints shows is that it's a pattern of fraud and piss poor CSR.
"oh yeah, we'll look into it and if they are lucky let them know in a years time...blah blah blah".
Beware folks, as the saying goes caveat emptor, wish I'd emptor'd a bit more. I didn't and now I have to pay the price for it, the price of going through this crapola to deal with them.
And get a refund, they should have immediately offered in the first place. Bet I get it today, when the Sheriff's at their front door...oops did I say thaaaat?

Well Im outta here folks, have a great morning/night etc...cya's later on.
First off, what in the Hell are you talking about, and secondly, what the Hell are you doing aligning with AARP, and third, why are you allowing another entity to receive your check?

I make it a point not to get anywhere close to anything endorsed by AARP.

I was informed by my state, that I MUST have it deposited onto a debit or credit card. Well I don't like "credit" or being in "debt" so I didn't have a credit card. They told me to get this AARP Greendot card.
Boy did I ever make a huge mistake....

I have a debit card now for over 15 years and I am not in debt. Like money you need to use it very wisely.

AARP is just another arm of the democrat party just like the unions and the NAACP.

When the government tell you that you need something run like hell the other way.
Walks I've learned that the hard way...now I find myself on the gummamint plantation with no way to escape...
That said though, this company literally STOLE my money, then refused to give it back. For two months in a row.
On the BBB there is complaint after complaint just like mine. On page after page, hence my comments about wishing I'd read this first, earlier. And not knowing any old body can have their own "green dot" card. I also didn't know that about the AARP being an arm of the libs party either.
And fwiw, I thought the AARP is just an organization that helps the elderly and the disabled. Which was from what I knew about my grandparents being with them and mentioning them years back.
Sorry I wasn't too clear when I said that earlier. :)
Sorry I did not know lots of things regarding finances lately. Now that I know/realize there is a financial forum here. I'll chk it first in the future. LOL
Hmm might be a market for that, financial advise and counseling with Conservative Values as it's core mission. Teeeheeheee

AARP is like the Red the American Red Cross. They are there to line there pockets first, last and always. My younger brother was a certified public accountant. I was lucky in that he was able to guide me in areas that I did not understand.
