Yes, they were following directions, that doesn't mean they were intentionally trying to inflate numbers. We know that people
with underlying issues, comorbidities, were hot much higher by COVID and died at a much higher rate.  Like I said earlier, the seasonal flu kills the elderly at a much higher rate than young people. COVID hit the elderly very hard, especially those with underlying issues. It seems very unlikely that the policy had any significant impact.

We know you did not read the articles posted or you would understand that when they admitted they were inflating the numbers, THEY MEANT TO INFLATE THE NUMBERS! There was a reason they were told to list cause of death as they did.

I've read them (the three on the previous page) twice.  And nowhere did I see any health official or spokes person say they were intentionally trying to inflate numbers.  What I did see on the freedom foundation link is this:

"3. DOH really doesn't know how many deaths are due to COVID-19.

"Our process for identifying COVID-19 deaths basically speeds up our regular process but cuts out much of the data-quality processes."

"Ultimately... we suspect that we are actually more likely to be under-counting deaths than over-counting them... It may take up to a year or more to get final counts on COVID-19 deaths."
