Quote from: ZenMode on June 29, 2023, 08:50:14 AMNearly 3 million migrants were turned away under Title 42.  Migrants, once they are screened and allowed into the country, would have to follow the same rules as anyone else in the state they're in.
Title 42 was Trump's, and Biteme let it expire.
Now they aren't even tracking children as they enter the US. How is it you don't know any of this?

Are you aware Title 42 dates back to the '40's? The Trump administration used the law to turn away illegals and have them stay in Mexico. The Biden administration has fought and tried to end this law from the beginning, WITHOUT putting something in it's place.

The question that should be asking is why is the Biden administration not enforcing our immigration laws? We have very generous laws to get into this country, why are they being ignored?

Actually, Biden kept Title 42 in place until 2022 then, when the Covid pandemic was no longer a risk, tried to remove it.

Also, what makes you think the Biden admin isn't enforcing immigration laws?

What makes you think he is enforcing immigration laws? The border towns are run over with illegals, the facilities are over run, illegals are given court dates years in the future because the courts are over run. So where is YOUR evidence?

Only because a federal judge ordered so.

Our border laws allow for people to come into the country.  You made the claim that laws weren't being enforced. Which ones aren't being enforced?

You really need to look up your own questions.

https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/how-united-states-immigration-system-works

This, in a nutshell, is how it should work.
QuoteThe body of law governing U.S. immigration policy is called the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The INA allows the United States to grant up to 675,000 permanent immigrant visas each year across various visa categories. On top of those 675,000 visas, the INA sets no limit on the annual admission of U.S. citizens' spouses, parents, and children under the age of 21. In addition, each year the president is required to consult with Congress and set an annual number of refugees to be admitted to the United States through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program.
These visas are written requests and UPON receiving an answer, they are allowed to come into the country. What is happening now is there are no requests for visas, which is why they are given a court date.

QuoteThe overall numerical limit for permanent employment-based immigrants is 140,000 per year. This number includes the immigrants plus their eligible spouses and minor unmarried children, meaning the actual number of employment-based immigrants is less than 140,000 each year.

Read the article, you will see other ways to gain entry LEGALLY into this country.

What you need to be asking, why is Biden allowing so many to cross illegally. I bet you do not even try to answer.

They do not just come across the border, they have to request.

Anyone who comes to a point of entry, at the very least  is "requesting".

it's not wrong. Under Trump it was the same policy, but he made them wait in Mexico for their court date.

Wrong again. Like I posted before, there is a right way to request a visa to come into this country, and a wrong way. Biden is not following the law.

Requesting a visa is one of the legal ways, but not the only.
