Maybe I just see things differently, but it seems that crushing the US/world economies is probably not the best way to get money to a small number of entities.

That statement means the left wants/demands/forces you to participate things, but not for themselves.
1. They want you to use Obamacare, but gets waivers for themselves.

The problem as I see it, is that they are brainwashing and indoctrinating our children that Socialism is "great", "equitable", "fair", etc. while the elite line their pockets under capitalism. The children grow up thinking and voting that Socialism is "great", never knowing that it was all a lie of the Democrats. This is one of the reasons that college campuses are hotbeds of liberalism, Communism, Democrats and elitism.
