I wish Trump would have gone into more detail as to WHY he would consider him. For instance, what does Trump see  that he would bring to the table. No doubt, he would be a better pick than the first pick Trump made, but that bar is really low. I am going to guess Carlson probably knows how Washington works and where the bodies are buried better than most. Maybe that is what Trump needs the most.

But still, I would not be surprised if this is just a Trump tease.

I agree, it's probably a tease of a balloon.
One thing though, Tucker is not part of the Establishment, that is a great message to send to the base.

That just might be the best reason to pick Carlson. We would actually have two outsiders running this nation.

I don't believe the Dim base is anywhere near as big as they want us to think.

It never makes any difference who the Rs nominate
in energizing or lethargizing the Dims' base.
The political establishment (especially the "mainstream" media)
will ALWAYS hyperventilate over the "right wing extremist" that gets nominated.
Facts never matter.
Whether or not the nominee has ANY conservative credentials,
if they do, they will be highlighted and misrepresented.
If they don't, the Dims always fabricate lies and hyperventilate over them.

For example, consider Chris Christie, a RINO
who is parroting all the Dims' talking points about Trump.
Hypothetically, of course, if Trump would pick even him for VP,
all the media who are now slobbering all over him
would immediately turn against him
and portray him as yet another "second coming of Hitler."
