The Biden administration claims 517,000 jobs added. How? Every day we see where another tech company is laying off thousands. Well, it didn't take long for the truth to come out. https://discernreport.com/dont-be-stupid-the-u-s-economy-actually-lost-2-5-million-jobs-last-month/
QuoteThat is the "adjusted" number.
The "unadjusted" number actually shows that the U.S. economy lost 2.5 million jobs last month. The following comes from Bloomberg...
For the establishment survey, the government's updated seasonal factors may have impacted the headline payrolls figure. On an unadjusted basis, payrolls actually fell by 2.5 million last month.
That is actually what was measured.
Is anybody surprised?
Leftist math. It's the same as stopping people at the border and claim you deported them.
Jobs killed, then rehired, are not new jobs or added jobs.
These people suck!

Its common core math.
0 - 250,000,000 = 517,000 duh. Dont question, just obey teacher.

Reminds me of the Obama years. To lower the unemployment numbers, they just stopped counting those who had given up finding a job. Only president who had low employment numbers while also having a low % of people working.
Same shit Obamao pulled, the economy sucks so bad many households have to work 2 or even 3 part time jobs just to be able to buy groceries.

Oh ya, I remember that. And people still have any faith in the credibility of govt? When they lie so openly?

US Economy Actually Lost 2.5 Million Jobs in January – Reported as a "Gain" of 517,000
The mainstream media cheered the news that the U.S. economy added 517,000 jobs last month. Sadly, that just isn't true. According to reports and the St. Louis Federal Reserve, the US economy actually lost 2.5 million jobs in January.
Via Rich Dvorak: "The Not Seasonally Adjusted print for monthly change in Nonfarm Payrolls was -2.5 million jobs. That means the headline +517K employment gain reported in January was driven entirely by a +3 million seasonal adjustment."

Just wait until the election year heats up, the lsm will be lying non stop for this clown.
And not one person will buy any of it. The entire party has lost all credibility having been caught destroying our country.
The LSM may control the narrative to a point, but they don't control the people.

Jobs link is here (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/PAYNSA#0). Adjust the start date above the graph to zoom in as required.
Actual data:
Dec 2022 total non farm jobs: 155,349,000
Jan 2023 total non farm jobs: 152,884,000
Net Difference: -2,465,000
Seasonal Adjustments are determined as described here (https://www.bls.gov/sae/seasonal-adjustment/), but I am not a mathematician and did not review the details... However, in NO WAY should the seasonal adjustment EVER indicate an increase in jobs when the raw data indicates otherwise. Note in the graph that there was a job loss between Nov 22 and Dec 22 as well, after a modest increase in October 2022.
The other data that really needs to be considered is labor participation rate (https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/labor-force-participation-rate); to me this is the best indicator of the health of jobs and the economy. I suspect that this number is also manipulated by the seasonally adjusted jobs numbers

Even the fed chair Powell doesn't agree with Biden's numbers.

The majority of Americans are figuring out anything coming from the Biden administration is questionable. They got a life preserver for the mid terms by the abortion ruling.
