Well, the first song was the University of Texas' fight song. Which, believe it or not, was declared RACIEST by the left since the song uses the tune from "I've been working on the railroad."  (I am not making this up and I do not drink). Which I do not understand since the dangerous work on the railroads was mainly done by the Chinese or the Irish. The university did not succumb to the idiots on the left and the song remains the school's fight song.

Oh ya, that definitely gives them away. Ive never heard of that having any christian connotation or being used in christian ceremonies before and seems very odd for them to use it given today it is almost universally known as devil horns. Satanists hiding in plain site.

So you are saying the catholic version comes through latin instead of the original greek it was written in? That might explain it, lost in translation.

The latin Douay version was a bit messy, it was a translation from the greek, Jerome is accounted for the translation, and the question exist now, how good was Jerome's greek or latin,  The current english versionl of the Douay is called the Douay-Rheims.  The passage quoted adding 11 to it, reads:
