He's my top pick at this point.

But do you think he's the best candidate to face Nunn?

Because he is a strong fiscal and social conservative. Nunn is a liberal Dem. People, especially us in Georgia, are done with Dems for the next few decades. We want some normalcy back.

A good example would be his contention that Obamacare creates a vegetable-police force - that the federal government will call your house every night to make sure you've eaten your vegetables.

I happen to be of the opinion that Broun's tendency for exaggeration, and his ridiculous views on science, would make him an embarrassment to the state of Georgia. Which is sad, because he's really got a good voting record (very close to Ron Paul's).

We need to have a lib appreciation day by celebrating anthropomorphic Earth, where libs can get in touch with their gentler side and connect with the human side of natures wildlife..
We can have cruises taking them out to pet and feed sharks, after all, sharks are simply misunderstood creatures, or up close and personal with Polar bears, and if that's too cold, there's always the mt lion petting zoo.

Unsubstantiated and false assumptions made in the past hour:
1) My disagreement with Broun's views on evolution/Earth age make me a godless liberal. I am a Christian who believes in science, and have a problem with my Senator being a man who cannot rationally process and accept scientific fact because it clashes with his personal beliefs.
2) My disagreement with Broun automatically means that I support Nunn. This one is laughable. Nunn has not proven herself qualified to be a US Senator, and I already have a candidate in the GOP primary that I support.
3) My disagreement with Broun's views on science means that I don't have a problem with big government. Talk about a non-sequiter.

If Paul Broun is willing to deny scientific fact based on his personal beliefs, doesn't that concern you about his ability to make rational decisions?
Paul Broun has the right to believe whatever he wants to, and that has no bearing on his eligibility to seek office. But I have the right to take those views into consideration when I choose my US Senator. And I want someone who is willing to accept fact over his personal opinions.

No. He seemed to believe in science enough to get through med school and make a living as a doctor. You fall into the liberal propaganda that thinks his devout faith is some sort of issue to worry about. I really like the fact that he's devout. I won't have to worry about him tweeting his pee-pee to young girls and getting busted with prostitutes. He was dedicated and driven enough to follow a certain path, made it through real school (not some degree that involved getting indoctrinated by Marxists), and was responsible to make a living from it. He passes all the personal and character tests for me.

I don't disagree with anything you said. Morally, I think his devoutness is a benefit. He's certainly not a man like Bill Clinton, who I believe is almost certainly atheistic, and a pathological liar. Broun does seem to be morally strong, and I will give him that.

From Sarah Palin's FB page:
KAREN HANDEL FOR U.S. SENATE FROM GEORGIA
Margaret Thatcher often said: "If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman." This quote rings true in the U.S. Senate race in Georgia in more ways than one. This year's elections are about who we send to Washington to help restore our country after six years of a disastrous administration. It's not about who has the best rhetoric, the loudest voice, or the best TV ads. It's about who we trust to keep their word to fight for conservative principles and grow our movement at the same time.
In the U.S. Senate race in Georgia, Karen Handel is just that candidate. Karen is a champion for protecting life and a proud voice in support of it – one we could use in the Senate. As Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, she made a name for herself fighting corruption, passing ethics reform, and recouping millions of dollars in stolen taxpayer money. She balanced the budget every year as well. As Georgia's first Republican Secretary of State, Karen took on the Obama administration to keep Photo-ID in place and ensure that only U.S. citizens vote in Georgia. She cut her department's waste by nearly 20%, and under her leadership, the Secretary of State's office became Georgia's first completely transparent agency by putting all the agency's expenses online for every taxpayer to see.
Karen has walked the walk when it comes to cutting government waste, providing ethical leadership, and fighting back against big bullying government. We can count on Karen to take her real life skills to Washington to help balance our budget, fight for lower taxes, and do everything she can to keep the government out of our lives.
Voters need to look carefully at a candidate's record. Look beyond the flashy campaign ads of establishment candidates and the bombastic rhetoric of candidates who claim to be the most conservative in the race. Listen to what Karen says in her debates and candidate forums, and you'll hear a true conservative leader who can win in November. This Georgia Senate race is very important to the Democrats and has long-term repercussions for 2016 as Democrats test the waters to see if they can win big in a red state with a woman candidate. That is why the GOP needs a strong contender like Karen Handel. She is the conservative candidate who can win this race and hold this seat for the GOP.
GOP voters in Georgia have many choices if they want something said, but Karen Handel is the only choice if we want something done. Karen will get the job done.
Please lend her your support in this critical Senate race. Trust me, you won't regret it.
To learn more about Karen Handel and support her campaign, visit her website at www.karenhandel.com (http://www.karenhandel.com)

This is an interesting endorsement in GA primary race. It is a crowded field to replace Saxby Chambliss with several conservatives. I would think in this crowded field this endorsement is quite meaningful. Please excuse the duplicate posting, but I could not delete one of them.
