Wifey and I were sort of 'cheering for his escape' and laughing at the British for being so stupid, expecting the Germans to be the *same* type of "gentleman" the Brits were. ...and it's a British made movie!
Actually, we're not that much different, thinking America is morally above other countries (we are), and that *somehow* we will prevail against evil with our overwhelming generous accommodation & goodness.
Sigh... we still pamper and love bomb our own criminals, try to "shame them into goodness" - when they should be publically executed - we'd have a lot less crime.
Still a great movie, good acting & based on what sounds like the same historical event.

Thanks but as usually happens when trying to stream anything over the internt it gets halfway through then hangs up. I won't even try all the internet video streaming bullshit they try to shove down my throat. Even Dish supposedly a sattelite TV provider constantly trys to peddle that crap instead of working on their sattelite service to improve it.

We download everything first, for the same reason. Another reason to DL movies ... they are disappearing and might not ever be found again online, or for sale - too politically incorrect - they gotta ban those movies. We've seen some greats from the WW2 era. Doubt they've gonna stay long, the PC crowd will discover something about them - and poof, "not found".
I was able to see the end of it today. Although he managed to escape and return, he still met his end in the war.
