Title: Corporal Julius Franklin "General" Howell (1846-1948)
Post by: drifter106 on October 27, 2020, 02:48:28 AM

This recording (1947) was of a soldier who fought for the Confederacy in the civil war. He fought in a war when horses pulled cannons and lived to hear about the atomic bomb. Amazing....

If you listen to the entire recording you will hear him tell you what he was fighting for....not what the history books emphasize....

He died when he was 102....gave me an eerie feeling listening to someone who fought in America's civil war for sure. Just listening to him speak denotes such a different lifestyle than that of people today.

Excellent!!!
Most people don't realize they had their own currency, and the North had its own. Destroying the Confederacy meant bankrupting thousands of people and destroying a way of life.
Good or bad, it really was about States Rights.
