Just a week after a World War II German U-boat was found off the US coast, researchers believe they have discovered a sunken Nazi submarine buried in the bottom of a Canadian river - more than 100 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean.

Probably looking for the St. Lawrence, and got lost. Wonder if the crew got off before she sank?

There had to be a smart German or two out there.  Who would look for a sub in a river.

And showing up in the middle of Canada, would be so much better than trying to come ashore on some ocean beach. Besides if I had left Germany just before the war ended, I would know I didn't want to be there for the next few years. I wonder if they had enough sense to load their loved ones on the sub. I mean who would even give a second glance to a guy walking down the road with his wife and kid?

I am sure there were some German living there before the war during the war. Time will tell when they check it out.

good possibility, especially if they can pin point the time it arrived.
I wonder if it was scuttled, if it were, then a defection makes sense, it's not like they planned to return, after all.

And Canada makes sense. It's cold, quiet, not a big newsmaker (especially at the time). If they could find work in the frontier parts, they would be virtually invisible.

Are you being an idiot because you can, or is it a Tourettes thing?

Good point, I tend to forget that there are people in the world that suffer from addictions, being that I have none of my own that warp my ability to access the critical thinking section of my brain.
