Billy's bayonet

Thanks (or is it 'Tanks') for the memories. I recall listening to "The National Anthem of Vietnam" America's Horse with no name'  which was played incessantly over the same cheap radio's everybody had and of course in all the bars....sometimes by the Filipino bands they used to import. This was during monsoon season when we practically drowned in out listening posts, bunkers and trenches which became small ponds during monsoon season.  "I been thru the desert on a horse with no name IT FELT GOOD TO GET OUT OF THE RAIN....we used to sing that in the chow line anyplace covered where about a ton of water wasn;t running down your back into your boots.

WHEN A WRONG IS UNAVENGED THE HEAVENS LOOK DOWN ON US IN SHAME
