here is the thing under my saddle....some of these cops have had numerous complaints filed against them for behavior that is detrimental to being a good cop.   NOTHING WAS DONE INSOFAR AS CORRECTING THE NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR.  Fault also lies with the police administration for not taking care of this behavior when it first started.  Letting him go without consequences only adds confidence to his negative behavior as a cop.  They were enablers...

As a parent who raised 5 kids and a teacher for over 37 years I know you need to nip a negative behavior in the bud with kids so it doesn't fester and grow.  Are adults any different?  NO....The higher ups in the police force are to blame as well.

My training dealt with the carotid, and just how much pressure and how long it can be applied depending on the intended results.

I said from the onset, standing on someones carotid artery is asking for serious trouble. When I ran cattle, that's how we kept them subdued until someone tied their legs.
But do it too long and death follows, just like hanging oneself in prison by tying a knot in a pillow case and placing it against the artery and just hang there by leaning over from the upper bunk with it around your neck.

Here is the thing under my saddle also.  What happen was wrong in many ways.  But I don't think the black man was just standing there and be MR. Nice Guy when taken down.  Time will tell.    Protesting is one thing but rioting is another.  What's the old saying?  Two wrongs don't make a right.

I owe the reporter a drink who just asked why the  Minnesota Governor is going to allow protests to happen tonight instead of enforcing his COVID-19 executive order against gatherings of 10 people or more.
