The exception only proves the rule. There was a riot at the Capitol on J6. The small minority of people who were let in by a small minority of Capitol police doesn't change that.

The majority of Floyd protests actually were peaceful. That doesn't mean the rioting, looting, arson,etc didn't happen.

You do know those were the ones who came from listening to Trump's speech, the patriots, right. The riot you are referring to was already in progress. I am beginning to wonder if you know any of the facts of what happened on that day. Lucky for you, there are postings on this forum.

You're saying that none of the Trump supporters were involved in any of the rioting, but were let in to the Capitol?

Two items, one, the records say that, and two, there are no absolutes. But the crap was going on BEFORE those listening to Trump arrived at the capitol, as Trump's speech was still going on. Most of those arrested were done so after leaving and phone traces were used to track them down. This has all been covered before, look it up.

Yes, there was some level of rioting going on before Trump finished his speech, but Capitol police weren't heard referring to what was happening as a "riot", and the first barriers weren't breeched, until about 30 minutes after Trump finished his speech.  We have no way of knowing which people from the speech ended up being involved in the riot.  It seems unlikely, given that Trump blamed one person (Pence) for allowing the election to be stolen and that person was in the Capitol at that moment, that some significant portion of the people from the speech weren't involved.

How would anyone know which people from the speech were/weren't rioting?  Was there a speech roster that was compared to those arrested?

Does it really matter if it was Trump supporters from the speech vs Trump supporters who skipped the speech and get right to trying to stop certification?
