We keep the children in the playpen so the rest of the board can discuss politics...

Wait, that didn't come out quite right . . .

Really?

Here's Bert "discussing politics" in threads he himself has started; and I'm quoting his contributions IN FULL:

Three posts in Online gamers can "kill" Te Party members...:
1. Naked link:
http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2011/09/06/charming_online_gamers_slaughter_tea_party_zombies

Followed by "political" commentary:
2. Ironic. he succeeds and online misogyny...

3. he needs to get out of mom's basement.

Next, from Now you can't peacfully protest in front of abortion clinics
1. Naked link (am I seeing a pattern?):
http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/obamas-abortion-absolutism-and-1st-amendment

Followed by "political" commentary:
2. Obama really needs to shore up the base...

3. Two for one sake...

4. Two for one sale...

Next, from And yet another green company files bankruptcy..
1. Naked link (hardly a surprise anymore, right?):
http://www.redstate.com/dhorowitz3/2011/08/23/500000-of-green-for-green-jobs-red-for-the-rest-of-us/

Followed by ...uh, nothing.

Next, from Romney outlines his jobs plan (well, this one has potential!):
1. Ooooh! Looky! A not-quite-naked link!
http://www.boston.com/Boston/politicalintelligence/2011/09/romney-outlines-jobs-plan-before-debate-president/5stryWAnHZbNfYTGTIPgtN/index.html

160 pages. A bit much to lay on the people.

(Give the man a hand, folks! Forty-three characters, including spaces! He must have been exhausted after all that work! ...So exhausted in fact, that the OP was his sole contribution to the thread - and that's twice now for that!)

So, four threads, and link-copying aside, Bert's "political" contributions consist entirely of short, snarky one-liners devoid of politics.

But what about other threads? Maybe Bert's just a shrinking violet in threads he starts. Let's find out, shall we?

Just plucking at random ...
Postal Service Struggles to Stay Solvent, and Relevant, 7 pages of replies:
Bert's replies (in toto):
1. It is an independent agency
2. It hasen't really relied on taxpayer money since the early 80's..
3. Don't forget about the union...
4. Would they? I suppose they would.
5. Because they actually have logistics. USPS has Unions and really pissed off people making 50 quid an hour throwing packages on conveyor belts..
6. So did I. 1991-1995.
7. UPS is awesome. However they treat (or at least treated) their employees terribly. The union was a much needed firewall. But when it came to dues and where the money went the union was far more than suspect.
8. Good luck with that....

That's Bert's entire contribution to the thread, every word, every doubled-period, all of it. How many of his remarks actually feature political content, hm? Because, after all, this does all come from the "Politics Board." ...Let's see...
1. It is an independent agency - Political content? None. Informational.

2. It hasen't really relied on taxpayer money since the early 80's.. - Political content? None. Informational.

3. Don't forget about the union... - Political content? None.

4. Would they? I suppose they would. - Political content? None.

5. Because they actually have logistics. USPS has Unions and really pissed off people making 50 quid an hour throwing packages on conveyor belts.. - Political content? None. Informational.

6. So did I. 1991-1995. - Political content? None.

7. UPS is awesome. However they treat (or at least treated) their employees terribly. The union was a much needed firewall. But when it came to dues and where the money went the union was far more than suspect. - Political content? A small amount, in the form of "The union was a much needed firewall."

8. Good luck with that.... - Political content? None.

So, a total of 14 comments in five different threads (not including the naked links from his own) from the Politics Board; and Bert's "political content" in all of it amounts to one 7-word sentence, that isn't very political or even astute.

Seems to me you should spend more of your own time in The Pit, Bert, because you obviously aren't living up to the standards you so-quickly set for others. :))

My response? You just aren't all that important, you have the emotional grasp of a seven year old being held to adult standards. The members have spoken.Until you can act like an adult, don't bother us.

LOL. Utah proxy? Here's the shnizzle, m'nizzle: you IP banned me however long ago it was: that much I figured out the very first time I tried to re-register. There was no second attempt, regardless of what Taxed is telling people. (I may be stubborn but I'm a long way from stupid: I know an IP ban can't be cracked without more effort than I'm willing to shoulder over a nonentity echo-chamber like this one.) However, about a year ago our old IPS sold out to a new one; and several months ago I upgraded my old computer with a new one: so, all new IP#s, plus a new computer ID. But I didn't give your board a second thought until 3 things happened: first, the MySpace invasion of LNF (yeah, I maintained tabs on the place after I stopped posting) which (quite surprisingly, to me) resulted in the steady flight of the conservative old-schoolers from LNF; plus, second, the semi-regular laughing reports on Poli from the MySpacers who'd joined CPF, about the alternating weeping and squealing from the conservative LNFers who couldn't hold on to what was theirs - or rather, what they thought was theirs; and, third, the revelation that Harry was behind all the PMs at LNF, inviting people "to come to a competing message board" which turned out to be this place. So it was a confluences of chance events that I just happened to catch: call it dumb luck, serendipitous timing - whatever. And frankly I was curious to see what people like Weaselteeth and CC were saying. ...Right before he absconded from LNF, CC (aka Sea Wolf here) told me he'd always liked debating me; then I joined here as Arelcey (my initials, by the way: R L C ... "Ar-el-cey - get it?), and what's one of the first things I see but cc pissing all over his own cornflakes about how "Ricky's back at LNF," and about how he's not going to be at any board I'm at. ...Ha! "Likes debating me" - what a friggin' laugh!

Anyway, I didn't make the decision to look in here until one of the MySpacers sent me a PM asking if I'd been reading what-all was going on here. I said I hadn't because I was IP-banned - then remembered I was using a new computer, and had a new ISP. So, I wrote back: Send me the link, and let's find out if I can get in now. And jeepers: I could! So I registered that day, just for grins.

Notice I never really tried to hide who I was - meaning, naturally, that I took no pains not to post like the smartest guy in the room. Harry spotted me almost right off the bat because, well, frankly, Harry's probably not only the smartest guy posting here from your side of the tracks, bar none, but he was also primed to recognize my style, having already seen my return to LNF.

That "Utah proxy" thing? Sorry Solar - if my IPS is routing service through Utah, that's not my doing. I had no idea. For all you'll believe it, I tell you truly that I've never used a proxy server in my life.

So anyway, after your members vote to ban me (I have no doubt it'll happen), at least have the courtesy to PM a goodbye to me before dropping the blade - okay? :)

See you around! (Probably not!  >:D)

Just out of curiosity, in what way have I not acted like an adult so far? ...Or maybe, to hold you to the standards set for this place by you and others, in what way have I acted less like an adult than the rest of you?

Also out of curiosity: did you know that this thread was over 30 pages of replies last night? ...Until Bert took it upon himself to cut off 2/3 of it AND override your sticky to dump the remainder here. That's an awful lot of power to hand to someone like Bert.

Okay, thus far here, Ricky has admitted that despite his many bannings at LMFNF, he obsessively kept coming back and then after reading stuff there, wandered in here. He trolled and got caught.

Notice the obsessive details he offered Solar, for a site he claims he's scarcely aware-of. Tell me that obsessive focus and his relentless disregard for rules IN ANY WAY benefits this forum.

Cut his cord. Let the baby float downstream and be done with him.

Can we only give him access to pit?  That way he can be our very own pit troll!

I trolled? Just how did I do that, Toofers? Just by showing up?

The details I offered Solar were the details. Nothing obsessive ...the way you talked on and onb about the "painful skin condition" on your feet, and how that kept you from fending for yourself on two different vactions, and how your skin was peeling off in strips, and, oh!, the pain you had to endure! Christ. You were reminding me of the Dr. Smith character (but with feet instead of your back) on the old TV series "Lost in Space." ..."Oh, no! I couldn't possibly make a sandwich and a cup of coffee for myself! ...My delicate feet, you know. Oh woe!"
