Northern Illinois got slapped upside the whole area.  Had a bow front with straight on winds hit about 8 yesterday morning. 800,000 with no power. Me no net til a few minutes ago.  Still about just over 450thou without power. Massive tree damage everywhere. Right now 70 to 80 mph winds, rain gushin thunder smacking storm that went thru fast and furious.    I been checkin on MIL, she lives across the street.  I went over about 8 last night, brought in my solar lights, ripped everything out of the freezer, made my neice go get ice for inside the coolers.... HImself brought a generator over this morning to her so she has some power.... I am gonna drag her stubborn backside over here in a bit so she can cool down, and then drag her back so she can have a decent meal in cool house.  Been running n checkin on her every couple of hours.
Pretty bad everywhere ya look around here from I-80 north..... oh well,,,back to it.... solar lights recharging,,,, coolers still good to go and the genterator is fine...so far, lol.

You did have a day MeLady.   :o

Today was take truck into town and have A/C checked out.  The good wife said it was not cooling.   ::)   Hmmm...95º outside and she is looking for 68º in the truck.  LOL Not going to happen.  So had A/C check out and it's working just like it should.  ;D   With the sun coming in the windows, no A/C in a truck is going to keep up.  If it 95º outside it can be 110º inside when the sun is coming through the windows.  But it's an 03 and now I know for sure it's OK.  But it was a free shopping day for me as she did not go with me.  So I got to look at Tool!!  ;D

Wouldnt have been so bad cept she is an 81 yr old Irish woman, stubborn doesnt really cover it,lol.  They got power about 5.  Her house was 93 inside and humid,,, so she did come over for dinner while her house cooled down. I think she had had it.  Today it is perfectly wonderful.  They say that the 200 thou without power still will be up and running by sometime in the day Saturday..... I hope so, it's going to shoot back to 90 and humid again. I swear mother nature is either bi=polar or she is having a nasty case of menopause,,,,pfft, this is nuts, lol
