Today had to go into the Doctor.  He said I was doing great for my age

So I stopped at the Dairy Queen it the one I stopped at as young pup.  Now way back then I could get a Dairy Queen ice cream cone for 10ยข and it would have 3 layer of ice cream in the cone.  Today I ask for a ice cream cone and it only fill the cone  and they ask for 5$ + tax.  I think I will give up ice cream at the Dairy Queen for 75 more years.

I used to love Dairy Queen and A&W, both places started shrinking their beef patties to the size of a silver dollar back in the mid 70s, I kid you not.
I haven't been to one in 40 years.
I sure do miss A&W root beer though...

My understanding you can make your own.  Back in the 60s they had a lot of alcohol in the syrup mix.  As I remember one gal of syrup mix made 50 gal of root beer.

With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

It's nowhere the same. Nothing beats fresh pulled a draught. I know it has to do with the water, because I've had it from other towns and it was nowhere as good, unless you were in a mountain town with a good well or spring.
I'm willing to bet that if I went back today they would suck, because Sacramento's water went downhill in the 90s.

The only one I've found in concentrate  is Hires, but that was decades ago when I still made my own. Still have the antique bottle capper.

Yes, I did, because I wanted to make my own and they said it was the water as well. That's why it finally came in a can, so they could control the taste, but it was never as good as it was in the 60s. I can still remember that wonderful flavor...
I went to West Sacramento back in the day, when all water came from wells, heavily contaminated with iron and sulfur, (though safe) the smell was that of rotten eggs and the taste was like sucking rusty nails, but I figured their A&W filtered their water, so I stopped in. I about gagged, they used the city water, all from wells. It tasted like sweet rusty nails

Seems to me the difference was the Sweetener.  Back in my Day, the Root Beer was made with real cane sugar.  Now, it is High Fructose Corn Syrup.  Not the same taste.
I use to love Mountain Dew.  The New Dew sucks.  Sometime you can find "Classic" Mt. Dew where the use real cane sugar.  You can immediately tell the difference.
