Hello everyone and thank you for the welcomes.

QuoteTell us a little bit 'bout your politics.

Well I don't like to label myself as something but to generalise it would somewhere within liberalism and social democrat.

I shall list some of my stronger opinions so you get an idea. And I'll try to keep it to mostly concerning America.

1. The poor and middle class of America have been getting shafted for the last 30 odd years.
2. Health care in America is a sad scenario. We should have a government option and privet insurance can operate if it/the people want it.
3.American foreign policy has costed many lives, both American and foreign. Not to mention it has helped create our enemies and costs us hundreds of billions a year.
4. The out-sourcing of American industry and jobs is the major reason the working class/vast majority of Americans are suffering.
5. Our borders should be patrolled more effectively. It does drive down prices and only serves to help the rich gain from cheap labour.
6. Public school system needs to be funded more and run more effectively.
7. Government/unions  should protect the worker from unfair wages and so on.

Are you American?

What does that mean, exactly?  Can poor people not become wealthy?  Please elaborate.

2. Health care in America is a sad scenario. We should have a government option and privet insurance can operate if it/the people want it.
I have always loved my health care and coverage.  I, like most of the rich and wealthy of other countries, prefer American health care.

Cost is not an issue with military spending.  That is where our money should go.

I don't care too much about other countries hating us.

4. The out-sourcing of American industry and jobs is the major reason the working class/vast majority of Americans are suffering.
This is where liberal government does not gel with human nature and free market capitalism.  Get government out of the way, and that trend will reverse.

Also, please elaborate on the term "working class".  Conservatives such as myself understand "work" as physical, as well as mental.  Working up a sweat digging ditches is far easier than trying to get people to buy your product and not sleeping at night because of all your money and other people's money you risked.

We certainly agree on locking down the border.

We want the rich, and any business owner, to benefit from cheap labor, but the labor needs to be legal and worth what the free market dictates.

6. Public school system needs to be funded more and run more effectively.
Public schools are overfunded and need to be torn down.

7. Government/unions  should protect the worker from unfair wages and so on.
Which, they don't.  They are destroying our country.

I understand, I guess we differ in respects to the process in which we repair the system.
Personally, I believe in the free mkt approach to the solution, and you see Gov as the answer.

Glad you're here, I assume by your posts, you have a European background?
