No ground hogs and Marmots, though Marmots live at the highest peaks 11,000', generally hibernate in the winter.

Good guess though.
We're still puzzled as to what it was. The only thing around that size would be a skunk, but we never did see any white whatsoever in any of the videos of their kill, just a black body.

Maybe a cat?

In the video, Lux, our latest Shepard is laying by the gate waiting for us to get home, when a flock of turkeys wander through.
He just lays there, could care less, after all, to him, they didn't come through the gate, so they must belong.

In the very next video moments later, UPS pulls up and he goes into guard dog mode, hair on end, ears down and barking like a wild dog.
He was certain our normal daily delivery was evil, but turkeys?

Nothing worse than having your friends see you cower in fear.

Sadly, the old UPS driver used to take time and befriend all the animals on his route, but this guy is relatively new and obviously, has a lot to learn. 
Our dogs are great watch dogs, they know who is friend and who is foe, so I think Lux was merely testing him, and the driver failed miserably.

Oh well.

Yeah, I think it's the same one that jumped the fence last time, thing is, she's either pregnant, or just getting old and took the long way around.
The next video showed her walking on the other side of the gate.
