@Solars Toy    My grandbabies are growing up really quick and years ago, they both decided they were too old for this pink dollhouse  (plus they lost all the furniture, etc).

I couldn't bear to throw it away, so I whipped out all my old green and gray and brown spray paints, got rid of all the girly colors and gathered up hickory bark and moss, etc, to make it "earthy". Then I started grabbing a few Schleich fairies and unicorns every time I had to run by Tractor Supply.  The girls are all over it, so they're not too "grown up" for dollhouses after all.  Last week, we made a "stable".  Today, I finished a meadow with a split rail fence to surprise them when they come for Memorial Day.

That thing in the top corner is a "nest" of feathers.  One of the fairies apparently insists on sleeping in a nest.  I'm not sure why.  The other beds are made of sticks, feather and raffia.  Dishes and food are made of Sculpee (the girls make those).

They made me remove all their school drawings from the bulletin board.  They're planning some pretty elaborate trees and stuff to put behind it.  Knowing ol' Grammy, I'll probably have all this still taking up space in my dining room when they're married with kids of their own.

Toy will be jealous. She's been wanting to make a gnome house to put in a hollowed out stump.

Oh, my oldest granddaughter did that, but not a house in a stump (which I think would be awesome).  I took her to an antique store and she picked out a really old, ratty basket with a hinged lid.  She took it home and the next day, my son sent me a little movie of what was now an entire "gnome world" hidden away in the old basket.

My oldest daughter took her original dollhouse (from her Grandpa) and converted it to a Fire Station for my grandson.  It turned out pretty cool.

That looks ugly. Should have kept it orginal. Could have sold it to someone who wanted it.

Or, given to your granddaughters as is. Girls are supposed to have sugar and spice and everything nice.

That's why young girls are so screwed up these days. They need dolls and babies and cute stuff.

My granddaughters and I made it together.  Whenever they come, we add something to it.

Bull SHIT!!!  My two girls are both black belts in Taekwondo and Aikido.  And drive a 4 wheel quad like a bat out of hell.   They also play with dolls and cut stuff.   They are now both now happily married and have kids of their own.

I'll see if I can find them.  If not I can get a picture when I am out for a visit next time.

We had given this same daughter a old ( and very large) cedar stump.  She had turned that into a Gnome house in her back yard.

That's exactly where I can envision gnomes living....  in a cedar stump!  Speaking of fairies and gnomes and things...  check out this weirdness!  (This Erwin Saunders guy really thinks he sees Pixies!)     (Around count 9:40 there's some kind of little monkey thing, probably CGI, and around 10:40, something is "toting" something.)  But if you look at his channel, this old guy devotes his time to spotting "Pixies".  Must be retired.
