Hope for a speedy recovery ST. We will send over Big Bertha if needed.
By fixed, she isn't referring to getting spayed, but rather a spinal operation.
Just thought I should clear that up...

Thanks Walks...
Should be down for a couple of weeks (drugged) and then hopefully back to normal in 6-8 weeks.
Best wishes for the fastest, fullest recovery.
Good luck and get well soon!
Hope the surgery goes great for you. Take care of yourself and you'll be back on your feet in no time.

Just trying to keep it light, its a tough time for her right now.
This is the first time she has ever had any kind of surgery, so she's a bit on the frightened side.
Me, I got to know the EMT on a first name basis, and the hospital staff actually came in to see what I was in for again.
I was kind of an idiot in my earlier years, ST on the other hand is the wiser one.
I hope she mends quickly... Give her my best.....

Prayers going with you ST. Solar let us know how she is doing when you can.
Too damned early to be driving to the city.
Oh wait, theres never a good time to go to the city. :glare:
ST got out of surgery around 9:30 AM and it went perfectly.
She can't talk or swallow seeing how they go through the front of the throat and push the esophagus to one side to extract the bone.
No scar, just a 1" incision with 6 stitches, and she will be back home tomorrow.

So sound like you will be going into town again. lol It is always nice being home when all is said and done. Do not forget to pick up the zip ties before picking her up. Sorry ST but I am like you, if I can move I am up before the light of day even if I am sick.
So glad it went OK for you. Take it easy for awhile and be good to yourself.

Glad to see everything turned out well.
Wow. I just came across this. I hope all is well. So they went through the throat to get to the spine. Sorry but I couldn't handle that. I have been through many surgeries I have nearly died twice. I beat cancer twice but I don't think i could deal with that. Anything with the mouth or nose I have a problem with. It's almost claustrophobic. She's stronger than I am by far.
I just cooked a turkey breast with mashed potatoes and gravy, its the first solid food she's had in days.
She is feeling much better, the doctor had her on Norcol, which made her nauseous and drowsy, so I asked him if it was OK to give her some of my Oxycontin and he agreed.
Now she feels much better and is resting watching TV.
She will post as soon as she has the energy to get up.

Oooops... sorry, (FFT) fat finger syndrome, Norco...

Thanks to all for the positive thoughts and well wishes. I had no idea I was living with a food pusher. Constantly hounding me to eat something-anything.
The worst part of trying to eat is it feels like everything gets caught in your throat. I feel like a cat with a hairball. The highlight of my day today is that I finally get to shower. It is getting debatable who smells worse me or our dog Butters.
And your right Walks I have already been scolded about trying to do anything. (https://conservativepoliticalforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmileys.on-my-web.com%2Frepository%2FOthers%2Fno-218.gif&hash=26f6048633395de793629a0d781565761696878c)
