We all know the difference between to and too. I went to the store TO buy  some  shoes. The shoes i bought were TOO small. Easy to understand. But, then why doesnt that work for  So and Soo? I walked to the park SO i could watch the sunset. The sunset was SOO beautiful. Shouldnt the 2nd  use  of So, be spelled Soo? And why isnt it?

Well, "to" is a preposition and "so" can be an adverb, a conjunction, an adjective, an interjection, or a pronoun...  so the same rules wouldn't apply.  (And then there's the fact that "too" is a valid word but "soo" is not.)   

Congratulations, you got right in my head before I even had my first gulp of this coffee and now I have a head-cramp.
