Thank you WT.  The vacation has been a mix of time and emotions.

The first part of my vacation and my reason for going to Illinois was for one of my older sisters.  This sister was diagnosed with small cell-carcinoma in April of 2009.  In October of 2009 we all met in Arkansas for a family visit.  Things were looking good and then the cancer metastasized and went to her brain in November of that year.  Again direct radiation (Halo treatments) appeared to work and we once again were feeling good.  In early October of this year, after an incident at home, she had an MRI.  With what was discovered the doctors gave my sister 4-12 weeks.

Once again we rallied the wagons and this time went to her.  We had a fabulous 5 days visiting and just hanging out.  I am sorry to say that it will probably be the last time I see her.  I have let her know how much I love her.  We are still praying for a miracle.

As to the rest of my time off I had already planned it at the beginning of the year.  Solar's birthday, our anniversary, and my birthday all fall in a 5 day period.  We have been mellow and just pretty much hung out.  Solar spoiled me with a Kindle which I have been hinting at for months.

It will be hard to go back to work on Monday.. :)

Thanks Naleta...it has been a very difficult month.  I have been riding a roller-coaster of emotions.

It's been hard on her, but it's going to get a lot worse soon.
The thing is, her sister takes full responsibility for her poor choices in life, and accepts the fact that she will be leaving soon.

I just hope ST can celebrate her life, less than the loss.
Her sister wants it that way, she hates all the pity, she prefers to move on with life.

The difference in her and the rest of us is, she knows her last days, we don't, but it could come today.

Are you ready, have you told those that mean the most to you, just how you feel?

I speak from a position of someone that has been at deaths door, thinking I wouldn't last another minute.
After some real quick soul searching, I suddenly realized the most important thing in my life at that moment was.
To tell my parents thank you, and that I love them.

All the other stuff, mortgage, car payments, plans I had, all this was worthless crap, nothing was as important as letting those important in my life know how I felt.
Don't forget to say "I Love You".
