Replaced the rack and pinion

on the Dodge it has 268,000 miles on it.  Also had a front end alignment done for the first time.  Not bad only 540$ in all.  And no I did not take it into Dodge.  LOL  Dodge said over 1500.00$  Dodge said 100$ just to put in on the rack and look at it.

That's a damn good price for parts AND labor. I have a bunch of shops in my area, but honestly, these guys are freakin incompetent. :lol:

My diesel mechanic that I go to now told me this is the place he takes his cars if need.  As he does not do front end alignments or rack and pinion. I just put on 1300.00$ in new tires, so I needed to get the work done.  I also did not have to pay the Washington state sales tax as the work was done in Oregon.

I hate buying tires for the beast. Being where I live, I need good all around mud and snow, seldom get out for less that fifteen hundred because of the ply rating.
I'm due for new rubber. I wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't blow a whole day. :glare:
