Palm Scanners in schools

I am personally not for this, mostly because the data has to be saved somewhere and since public schools are really government schools, I wouldn't want my kids identifying information on file for later use.

Before you read the article, I do not believe that palm scanning is the mark of the beast, the mark will be something you accept to be added to your person, not something you already have, like fingerprints or veins.  So that is not what bothers me about it.

Wondering what you think of it.

I agree that the "mark of the beast" arguments are silly. They're not proposing to mark anyone in any way, only to detect what's already there.

Frankly, this is news to me, that there is even such technology in existence, though I'm not surprised. I can't see that it's any different from fingerprinting or retina scanning, or even using dental records for identification. But it does seem a bit extreme as a measure to get kids through the lunchroom line more quickly.

I can see where you might be concerned about the database created and maintained by the government, especially since every kid these days has a SSN and the school can match that with the vein pattern. Big Brother, I think, is far too big already.

They take foot prints now and put on BC.  So I don't see the big deal other then Big Brother will step in and take control of it.   For my CWP they took my fingerprints and my wifes prints also for her CWP.

But then when I was a kid you best be eating what was in front of you.   As the teacher(s) was eating right along side of you.    If the teacher had to talk to you, you just know what was going to happen when dad got home.

When I was a kid, the schools didn't have this problem. All the kids brought a lunch from home. At lunch time, we took it out and ate it.

It worked great, and it didn't cost the schools a dime.
