Sure is heartwarming to see a good child get taken out of the hood and adopted by good people. 

Sadly, it doesn't always work out that way.  One coworker tried to adopt a very sweet black girl with horrendous parents.  Little girl was with them in foster care for many months.  Baby Mama pulled the plug.  My coworker was literally in tears.  Don't even want to know what happened to the little girl.
