So my wife gets this tone in her voice and asks me if I'd read the Book Plug Friday column over at P J Media (connoisseurs of fine conservative products everywhere).....

Turns out that Sarah Hoyt followed up on my wife's email plugging the book.

So it's a new month, time to take N out for a fine dinner.

Yay!!

I apologize for not sending you a note first, for your efforts to also promote the book. I was just through mailing you when I opened this thread, and cannot thank you enough for your efforts.

I'm gonna be up to here in alligators getting a few minor corrections made, suggested by paid readers. It can take a week or more just to get it up at Amazon, much less its competitors like Smashwords (a different e-format altogether).

Is this chick fast, or WHAT? Posted 25 minutes ago, here......

Speaking of writing a book......  :glare:

Yeah, the one I'm working on now has to wait until I get the fixes done and new e-book uploaded. Luckily I am now past the halfway mark on #2.

Well, Congrats, Old Friend. Damme, but we'll be able to say we knew him when.

Well, it turns out I will be lucky to get the manuscript formatted and uploaded, replacing the uncorrected item, before at least mid-month if not late September. Not exactly my doing except bad timing getting corrections made before someone on the tech side took a vacation. Freakouts on the timing but it can't be helped.

Moral: make haste slowly and triple check everything to save triple work later. I guess I'll learn that one some day.

Regardless, I gave it a little plug on my timeline.

Well, thanks for that, but in fairness the potential buyer should know the corrected copy has yet to be uploaded, and I am not sure how that works. If they buy now, I do not know if they can update for free, later. I'm going to guess "probably," but can't say it for a fact.

Each correction was suggested by a political adversary who gave me a fair read. The single most egregious error was in my saying JFK died in 1962. How THAT one got by me is simply beyond me!  :scared:

Yes,if updated versions come out, you can just download through your order history on Amazon.  I don't have a smashwords account yet but I would assume you could.

Somebody else scored with this one....

And the usual suspects will deny any involvement....
