My first went three years before sleeping thru, three loooong years, the second, on his first night home slept 12 hours and kept it up. the third was in the middle of that but since the other two were older they helped with the nights. My almost 3 year old grandson has never watched tv, a movie, played on a computer or tablet. He gets to watch the 1 minute video of Grandpa Solar on the bulldozer but that is it.
He plays outside a lot and my daughter engages him to do things (cooking with her, building things, painting, playing music...)

Our great grandkid enjoy coming over from the big city of Seattle and play in the dirt or snow on our farm. As I tell my grandkids they will wash. :lol:

My daughter has her Masters in Early Childhood Development...teaches a couple classes a semester at a local Junior college. The biggest thing she found was to be upfront with others about her choices for him. The kid was almost 2 before he had any sweets. (A tough one for the Grandmas.)

Probably TMI for this but tell the Mrs. to nurse through the discomfort - it gets easier. Also hopefully she has read up on things to watch out for. Warm/hot compresses will help if she gets engorged... Toy

this is going swimmingly. baby barely cries at all...threw himself off the couch yesterday and didn't shed a tear. Mom went nuts, though. It's his first tumble.
Thanks to Covid she's been home a lot even after Maternity Leave.
