You could tell when he was still young that he had a propensity to be an overweight person.  It was probably in his DNA.

I feel sorry for people like that.

Yeah, and judging by this pic, it's apparent he's living off that moment in the spotlight as a kid.
The guy really needs to cut that mop on his head.

Dori, in my gastric bypass classes, what they told us about weight gain was this.

DNA doesn't make you fat. DNA can cause you to have a propensity to store body fats. Which is actually, a really good survival tool to have. If you're a hunter, gatherer, omnivorous primate living in the jungle that is. But we don't live hunter/gatherer lives anymore. Now food is easily accessible to us. But that our gene's don't know that. So they have the body keep storing fats like they did thousands of years ago, even though today we probably don't really need them to be quite so efficient.

We were told that where people really get into the weight troubles, is when they eat in a way, that expands their stomachs. Which is physiologically caused because there's actually a small time-delay, between when your stomach is actually full, and when the brain/you "feels full".

So in a way our food choices, do really matter. But it's more important to watch our portion sizes.

Do that, you can eat almost anything, anytime you want. Of course that also mean's you eat a tiny meal about six to eight times a day too. Yeah, constantly eating, a little here, little there. That's how we're created to munch.

I don't know if it's the God's scientific truth, but that's what they told me/us in those classes.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

This is the second time recently that you have confused me with Dori!

Poor Dori.  But I am flattered!

I haven't had Deviled Ham in ages, probably a good thing after seeing that picture. Same for Spam.

Same with me. I do remember having fried spam for our meat at supper as a kid. I thought it was heavenly. Then in college it was good on soda crackers with a cold PBR.
