First big cold snap will bring sub-freezing lows, lake effect snow to Eastern U.S.

By Angela Fritz

The season's first big cold snap will dive into the Eastern U.S. this weekend, bringing sub-freezing overnight lows, lake effect snow and an increased chance of waterspouts on the Great Lakes. By Sunday, temperatures will be running a chilly 20 degrees below average in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Get ready folks.

Yesterday we broke an all time heat record in Dallas.  95 degrees!

But that cold front coming in this weekend will get us down in the 80s.

Hmm...  Elfie is around the Great Lakes area and sometimes gets the lake effect snow, as I remember.   I see the Pillsbury Doughboy suit coming out.
