Favorite thing -- family. Seeing my mom and my sisters and their families. 

I have two favorite things...

Spending a couple of days with the kids baking and hanging out.  This year we went ahead and did presents so they could be free to spend it with the other side of their families.  Which leads to my other favorite thing...  Celebrating Christmas on the mountain with Solar.  Cooking prime rib and keeping it simple for just the two of us.

Favorite activity-decorating the house (the sheriff likes to do it up big and I agree)
Favorite pasttime has always been about doing things with the grands while they're on school break.
Favorite movie which is more like a tradition with us is Christmas Vacation and backed up by Planes, Trains, Automobiles.  Hilarious and guaranteed to get you in a good Christmas mood.
Favorite food is baked smoked ham and German potato salad with plenty of good strong hot coffee and Chocolate Chip Pound Cake or Japanese Fruit Cake.
