Global Warming the next Lockdown?

You gotta be kidding.  Human suffering is a GOOD thing, if it reduces CO2 levels?
Laura Ingram predicts the next lockdown could be ... to get cars off the road.

Absolutely no insanity of the left would surprise me at this point. What has surprised me is how easily people were willing to give up their constitutional rights just because some obscure Communist organization said they should.

This brings home the real meaning of "give em an inch and they'll take a mile. It's time to pull these assholes up short and stop this foolish shitting around.

It took a court of law to stop the CDC from grabbing power that was not their's.

HOW... do you go after the people of the next lockdown?

Bravo to the handful of governors & state legislatures who have passed laws nullifying the overreach of the federal government.   However, we are just ONE SCOTUS ruling away from declaring these lock downs "legal".   Can you imagine, Biden signing an executive order, declaring a Climate Change emergency, and shutting down the economy again?

Regardless of what you believe about climate change, the transition to nuclear power is a licence to print money. It will mean jobs for everyone.

How do you figure that? WTF do you know about nuclear energy? Do you even know what LFTR stands for or how it could put a sudden end to the solar and wind bullshit while putting the arabs back on camel back?

If they can make the LFTR (virtually unlimited power) viable, that is even better but in the interim, conventional reactors and small modular reactors can bridge the gap. It means we can electrify and re-build the rail and highway system and replace gas and diesel vehicles with electric. We are on the cusp of the greatest economic revolution in history. I'm going to be shopping for a North American made Ford F150 Lightning in a couple of years.
We had better get busy or China will dominate the industry.

Can I imagine it? YES! Bejing will do whatever his handlers tell him to. He is not coherent or cognitive enough to have a clue about what his EO's do to the "little people" and like all Democrats, he wouldn't care anyway.

In the late 50s early sixties two LFTRs were built and run sucessfully. There is no if it can be done because it has akready been done. The rest is simple scaleing.
You could easliy and economicall convert every fossil fueled plant in existance over to nuclear with a LFTR as the heat source. The technology is inherently scalable.
In addition spent fuel waste from idiotic and inherently dangerous uranium fueled light water nuclear fission reactors could be used up as fuel.
The only reason we aren't doing it is political pressure from the fossel fuel lobbies and now the solar, wind and ethanol assholes too.

There are vast federal storage facilities housing spent nuclear fuel and radioactive water currently (that we the tax payers are footing the bill for). If it is possible to use that spent fuel and water instead of storing it, it should be done.

From what I understand spent fuel yes but I haven't seen or heard anything on water. I know nothing about radioactive water.
You can look it up though because there is a lot of info about thorium fueled nucler fission out there.
So much that I find it both odd and suspecious that it's not better understood and more widely known.

Thanks. That is very encouraging. My only hesitancy is based on the old "if it's too good to be true..." idea. So far, everything I've heard is positive. It can even be used to fuel a CANDU reactor, but with a loss of efficiency. The LFTR is a superior reactor.
We also need to find a better solution to the present batteries used in electric cars.

Actually if we had enough LFTRs in place we really wouldn't batteries because we could have enough cheap clean energy to produce enough hydrogen to run cars on. Batteries add conversion steps which adds ineffeciency  plus they add weight and limit range. When looking at viable options one needs to start at the beginning and consider each step, not just cherry pick the good stuff. That's why splar and wind are so stupid now, no one looks at the whole picture, just what they want to hear. And that's why liberal arts degreed shitforbrains types should sit down and STFU on anything energy related. They simply aren't equipped to understand anything involving physics.

Yeah, personally, I would not own an electric car. The battery technology is atrocious and sorely lacking. My Son had a "hybrid" SUV and even it had problems and the batteries were really expensive to replace. Even my rechargeable toothbrush is sorely lacking after several recharges. The Democrats can push their coal fired electrics all they want, this family is sticking with fossil fuel burning automobiles.
