Casinos being fixed should be obvious, but all over the web I see "Casinos are not fixed." I see these casinos claim they have to report their payouts to the regulators. Typical payouts are 90%. How is it 85% or 90%? A programmer writes it to be. Besides the fact random generators are not random, the code is written as .9 x random to get the 90%. All those near misses are also coded in. And no, they will not permit you to examine the code. Would you play cards if you are told you cannot examine the deck of cards?

The biggest part of the scandal is the lies and cheating is backed by the government and courts. Go sue based on consumer fraud and see how far you get. It is this political party support that is the heart of the scandal.

All casinos will eject anyone that begins to win, because they say the person is winning because he is "cheating." The police ALWAYS takes the side of the casino.

The worst is that they will not even allow an honest casino. Lets say you the reader decides to start a player to player system without a house edge tomorrow. You will be arrested because you do not have a license. Almost all areas whatever casino that is open is a monopoly.

So, avoid casinos.

See the video below where the casino refused to payout, and how another time it happened the Iowa Supreme Court said the casino has no obligation to payout. In a court case in Nevada where the casino refused to payout the casino said the "malfunctioned" happened when the employee got 4 mixed up with F4 when changing jackpot builds. So, the casino admitted they were changing jackpot sizes while people were playing. For small wins, the casinos often forfeit the winner's chips based on the theory that the only way to win is to cheat. Despite their ads say "Win Big!"

Same here, I used to go to Tahoe on weekends, take $100.0, this was before electronic gaming.
I too played Blackjack, and the slots, I always won just enough to pay for the trip, spent the winnings on food in their casino, and just enough left over over to top off the tank.

I quit going when they replaced the mechanical slots with video terminals, I knew they couldn't be trusted.

My point was how I approached the casino experience. It is not OK for casinos to cheat and it is important for the participant to understand the situation.

I've been in one casino, years ago in the upper Michigan peninsula. Placed one two dollar bet on black. They took my money. I said the hell with this.

I know what you are saying, just having some fun for a cost. The real problems come when people start winning. This is why this is in the survival forum. When people start to win the casinos send goons out and accuse the guest of being a criminal. In most places the casino can legally change the rules on a whim, and violating the rule is "cheating", thus a crime.

Isn't this a case where it's not the consumers fault the machine malfunctioned? The casinos own these machines and they are responsible for them.

If the slot machine tipped over and injured/killed a person, the casino has to accept responsibility. It doesn't matter if the installer didn't secure it down. That is a separate issue between casino and that vendor. The casino has to pay for medical, burial, or legal costs.
