That's the most direct endorsement from a sports league we've seen, I think
Who watches baseball? It is a boring sport.
At least with NBA or NFL, there is constant progression of the game (increasing points or advancing towards goal). With baseball, they literally throw the ball to them and it takes several tries to hit it.

So what is your opinion on the subject?

A kind gesture by MLB and it's nice of them to support their athletes in this cause.
What are your thoughts?

Supporting anti American activities is "A kind gesture"?

I think they have the money and the time that if there was something they wanted to do to help the black or any other color community they could. Kneeing in front of the flag during the anthem is nothing more than a way to show how much hatred they have for this country.

Who would have thought that BLM and other myrmidons of the left would be engaging in a love affair with 1%ers, and CEOs of corporate America?
Now isn't that special.

I agree with the
bold. And it's something that I hope every institution making these symbolic gestures is doing. Taking actual action to effect change.
I know that many companies have pledged money/time/resources to causes that help Black Americans and other minorities in the wake of George Floyd's death.
There's a thread on here because some posters want to boycott those companies.
Hopefully MLB does something to get on the list. Besides just allow their players to silently protest.

Unfortunately, this taking a knee crap has been going on for several year and no good has come of it other than grandstanding. Tell me, what has BLM done to help anybody.

Taking the knee was an awareness campaign. One that has worked incredibly well, I'd say.

and lest we forget...the knee wasn't even his idea.

I know that many leftist ran companies have pledged money/time/resources to causes that help Black Lies Matter and other racist, marxist organizations in the wake of George Floyd's death.

Let me fix that for you.
We just want to consume products and services from companies. We don't want those companies to lecture us on their "values", especially if they are in conflict with ours. We just want to watch motorsports. Shut up and drive.
If the MLB is ok with a player taking a knee for all the unborn being killed then that would be fair
No knee. Sports set the precedent by complaining about kneeling. Member the football player kneeling for God? I want them to shut up and play.

Do you think their "kind" gestures will ever apply to the children in china? For caring so much, they sure are a bunch of greedy bastards aren't they?

Was that his stated objective in kneeling?
I'm not quite following what your point is...

If he/they are kneeling to protest the injustice towards the black person I assume that included ALL the injustice. The biggest cause of death for young black males is other young black males. Has the protesting reduced this number. It has not, blacks rate for murdering other blacks is going up, the likelihood of innocent blacks being gunned down by other blacks in there own neighbor hood is going up. There is a major problem that needs to be addressed and kneeling and showing disrespect for this country is not getting it done. While they are taking a knee, the black community is being shot to death and all this grandstanding will not solve that.

No need to guess or assume why they do it. When athletes first kneel they're almost always asked about their decision to do so.
You can look up your favorite players and find out why directly from them without guessing.

I could care less why they choose to show disrespect to this country.
