If you're a lib, it's panic time, if you're a Conservative, you realize it's nothing and probably a natural variant.
How can they claim it lost any distance when in fact, the claim is, it's 6 miles to 30 miles above Earth and researchers claim it's lost a quarter mile...

Earth's Stratosphere Is Shrinking Because of Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Scientists Say

New research shows that the stratosphere is nearly a quarter of a mile smaller than it was in 1980.
The stratosphere is the second layer in Earth's atmosphere.
It keeps storms from rising too high into the air, where they can become stronger.

Earth's stratosphere - the layer where commercial airlines cruise and the ozone layer lives - is shrinking because of greenhouse gas emissions, according to a new study.

The research, published May 5 in the journal Environmental Research Letters, shows that the stratosphere is nearly a quarter of a mile smaller than it was in 1980.

The second layer of our atmosphere, the stratosphere extends from about 6 miles to 30 miles above Earth.

Gee I wonder if this is anything like the hole in the ozone layer that is all gone now? I wonder if the morons will ever realize that all things natural are dynamic and changing not static and unchanging. Probably not. As they say ya just can't fix stupid.

Exactly! Without change, we'd be living on a dead planet. Nah, you can't fix stupid!

Exactly. Our planet is probably millions of years old. We humans are neophytes to its existence. However, in our short tenure here we have documented ice ages and warmings. Obviously the planet has undergone many changes without the existence of humans.

The damn fool do not understand the planet will undergone many changes, with or with out humans.  IF humans can control change, let see them stop an Earthquakes or a Volcanoes.

The earth is 4.54 × 10 years ± 1% old. Thats 4.54 billion years. Also of interest is tge fact that of all species that there have been on earth over 99% are now extint never to be seen alive again. This shows us that extinction is the rule not the exception. There have been 5 mass extinctions. Mother nature knows what the hell she is doing and everyone knows it's friggin stupid to go fucking around with mother nature.

BTW everytime I hear the bozos claim that the sea level is rising from man caused global warming I hop on Google Maps or Google Earth and see how Canton Island is getting along. It's a small corral atoll about 3 degress south of the equator in the Phoenix Islands of the South Pacific. It's about 3 or 4 feet above MSL at it's highest point. Myself having some background in geodetics, I know that changes in sea level will be seen at the equator first due to the way the tides are affected by centripedal and gravitational forces from the sun and the moon. When is see that Caton is still high and dry, I call bullshit and move along confident that the world is not going away anytime soon and that I will likly die with dry feet.
Crazy but not stupid!
