It is a Logitech Marathon Mouse M705

A wireless mouse that runs for up to three years on one set of batteries.  Click the button on top just in back of the scroll wheel and you can go between slow scrolling (regular) and Hyper-fast scrolling.   I like this new mouse.   :thumbsup:   On Hyper-fast scrolling I can spin the wheel with one movement of my finger and go all the way for the top of my page to the bottom with no problem or hit the wheel and it will stop.

I've got an old Logitech MX610 cordless mouse that runs for up to three days -- maybe -- on a pair of alkaline AA's.  :tounge:

Seriously, I've had that thing for years and years and, other than the fact that I change the batteries about as often as I change my socks, I love the thing. Nice scroll wheel, lotsa buttons for internet and sound, ergonomic design. (That last part means it's for right-handed mousers only.)

I recently bought a new mouse for my laptop. (I despise those damned touchpads.) It's a Sharkk brand; got it from Amazon. Price was about half of what they wanted for a comparable Logitech. So far, so good. It's a touch lighter and smaller than the old MX610, but my hands aren't that big -- I'll get used to it.

Glad to hear that Logitech has at least tackled the battery-life issue!

I have the same mouse, third one I've bought, not that the others were bad, I just literally wore hem out from gaming.
Problem two had was the left click wore out, but I think they've fixed it since this one has been great for the last three months.
Though, I go through batteries about every 6 months. What I like, is it gives you several weeks of warning before they crap.
I've read where the lithium will give you a solid year, but alkaline is so much cheaper.

I will see how long the battery-life will last as I do not turn off my mouse when not in use.  The last mouse I had the battery were lasting about 6 months.

The Logitech goes to sleep after about 5 minutes.

The best wireless mouse I've bought so far was one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wireless-Mobile-Mouse-4000/dp/B002DPUUL4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389448760&sr=8-1&keywords=microsoft+wireless+bluetooth++mouse

If you're laptop has built in bluetooth it's great because you don't have to worry about plugging in any USB connectors. The battery life seems to be pretty decent and the feel is pretty good.

I had it's predecessor, one that required a USB plugin, wound up catching it on something and broke the USB connection out of warranty, repairs would have cost as much as a replacement.
Good mouse, but the blue tooth is definitely a huge improvement.

I had the same one, I think. The USB connector plugged into the bottom of the mouse for storage, and when you popped it out, the mouse would turn on? The mouse wasn't all that bad.

Well, spoke too soon, just wore out this one as well, left click wore out again.
Will I buy another? Yep, it's probably the most comfortable mouse out there.
