Not so much news but still relevant... I was recently berated in class over a comment that I made regarding white privilege. We are doing a unit in sociology about income and wealth disparities, and as part of this we watched a brief video on a woman named Tammy, which outlines her story of poverty and how she is trying to overcome it. Granted this woman has made some poor life decisions in her time, she managed to get a job and is slowly trying to make her way out of poverty. There is a girl in my class who said that it is an example of white privilege, and that the only reason she is able to do it is simply because she is white. I of course said it had nothing to do with race, and was immediately based for it.

My question is more for my own leaning on this. Does white privilege exist?

Not where I come from.  But Black Privilege Exist all over in big cities, Collages and Government. 

Any arbitrary group of people has some privilege over some other group of people in some areas, so the answer is yes. Another answer is who cares unless there's a government policy favoring a certain group of people over others. There are many government policies for various groups of people in the U.S., and I am not aware of any that favors White people.
I personally, as a matter of principle, against any government policy favoring any group of people. In general, I am against any redistribution, and a government policy redistributing favors and privileges based on artificial signs such as the color of skin, e.g. affirmative actions, are in my opinion, especially disgusting.

Liberals make shit up to justify their stupidity. There is no such thing as white privilege.  There is also no such thing as transgender, toxic masculinity or assault rifle. There are quite a few more BS categories but those are right off the top of my head.

Is there white privilege? There is if you're a white elite liberal that hates blacks and supports the Marxist Dim party furthering the oppression of the black family which is why they still fund the eugenicists movement started by Margaret Sanger known as planned parenthood.
The truth is hiding in plain sight, but too many have been brainwashed into believing murdering babies is a woman's right. This is how the left controls the black population, by encouraging them to murder their offspring. Marx, Lenin etc, must be smiling over this atrocity.

White Privilege long passed me. I get up at 4:30am shower, dress, lace up my work boots, kiss the MRS. good day and head out to my trucking business where I encounter likewise individuals that wanna make a buck.

While the drivers are inside getting instructions from my dispatch I'm out there making sure the trucks are fueled up, oil checked, air tanks are full, truck are at operating temperature, slack adjusters are correct, enough thread on tires with no flats, lights are working correctly, and last but not least I make sure there are no leaks coming from anywhere.

After I'm done with that the drivers head out to their truck to make sure I didn't miss anything. Oh I do set one drive up each morning making sure they are going behind me and checking everything.

Then I head out and get breakfast, talk to customers, get new accounts, and then when the drivers pull in we bull crap around a little.

Yup White Privilege long passed me when I first set my alarm clock to 4:30 in the morning.

White privilege only exists in the minds of liberals looking for a narrative. They have nothing else. It is the reverse of racism toward White folks. Any semblance of White privilege disappeared many year ago in this country.

Many studies confirm apply for housing or a job with a name considered black or minority.  Any need to tell you what happens.  I remember an EEO representative asking me questions about my first employer which was then the largest corporation on earth. It surprised me as I wasn't very far up the food chain. But privilege is a complex thing, connections and class often matter even more. Above is a photo of poor whites, mom would tell us of the great depression, everyone was poor then. It is why FDR got stuff done, and corporate power has been fighting him and his policies since.  But do poor whites help themselves by resenting a black who maybe got a foot up through AA?  Or another pov, does a vote for a racist or hypocrite help the poor white?  Does the racist help the white or use the white for personal gain?  (see quote at bottom)  I am working on a thread that will annoy many and it is kinda related to your question.
