The susceptibility of most locks to talented pickers has always been the fact that a rigid key requires a linear keyway. That means every part of the keyway, front to back, is accessible to a malcontent with a few simple tools, some talent, and a few seconds when nobody's looking.
Here's a video, produced by a guy who is renowned for his lock-picking abilities, that shows a lock that he considers pick-proof. I just wonder if the kid down at the Ace Hardware in town would be able to cut me a spare key....

Really neat configuration. I love locks, nearly as much as flashlights. :biggrin:
I have a couple of padlocks that have unique keys that appear to be near impossible to pick, but like most locks, they're vulnerable to liquid nitrogen and a hammer.

This works on most padlocks for me. :lol:

It doubles as a chain link cutter also. It nice having it around the shop. :lol:
