Title: House Fire
Post by: T Hunt on December 16, 2022, 11:34:40 PM
Just had a fire at our house tonight. Don't worry everyone is fine and so are the pets. But part of the house is ruined. We have the claim filed with homeowners insurance already and serve pro has started drying out the water.

Suffice it to say I may not be posting much the next week or so.

Anyone else have any experiance with house fires? And tips or advice?

Damn T, sorry this happened to you. All I know about the aftermath, is the stench of smoke permeating everything.
So in other words, add everything to your claim, not just the damaged rooms.

I hope you and the family recover quickly from it, but at least you had insurance.

Thanks everyone. Seems insurance is covering most of it. However it sounds like it will still take awhile to make the repairs even tho most of the damage was just in the kitchen and attic above. I guess stupid stuff like waiting on permits and officials. No power since some wires melted so no heat. They are giving us temp housing till it's done. Once we get that I will be able to set up my computer again and will be able to type with more than just my thumbs on my phone.

That's OK, we're all slow readers anyway.

Well I finally got my computer set up again at my uncles house so I can get on here again.

Oddly, this entire time for some weird reason I have been banned from this site, but only on my android phone...
I was able to log in with both my brothers computer and my brothers and uncles phones, yet on my phone I have a permanent ban.
And now on my computer it works fine too, just my phone has a problem, still can't get on here with it.
Oh well, Im back anyways.

(I know it says no internet connection but that was just when I was taking the screenshot.)
