Quote from: Grammy on Today at 04:27:22 AMI started to say that I pity the kitty who knocks that first bike over, but those aren't exactly.... Harleys....I love dogs in general, Hell, I love animals of all kinds, even the predators.
(If I were to get a dog, it would be a German Shepherd. I've always known that; they're so awesome!)
Quote from: Solar on Today at 07:41:01 AMNo doubt. But I have one issue with Abbot, the guy is like a one man bureaucracy, he is slower the Hell.
Everything he does, seems to go through committees, be it CCP flu, or gun issues, he is extremely slow to react.
As soon as the Marist DNC stopped the wall, he should have announced immediately, that if you stop construction, Texas will finish it before summer arrives.
It was an excellent move, but it's like he needs everyone to clear everything he does first.
Scott Walker was another, he'd do nothing until the Legislature told him to, Noem, a perfect example of letting the left dictate, or in her case, corporations, she bailed.
But at least Abbot is accomplishing things, Good Things, at the speed of govt.
QuoteAn Arizona state Senator has warned US Attorney General Merrick Garland that he'll 'spend time in prison' if he interferes with the 2020 post-election audit, after Garland announced on Friday that the Justice Department will look into whether any federal laws were broken - and claimed the state was employing 'abnormal' methods.
Quote from: Solar on Today at 02:21:29 AMOn June 10, 2021 Texas Governor Greg Abbott revealed that the Texas state government will start implementing a "comprehensive border security plan" that involves the state entering an agreement with Arizona to continue the construction of the border wall.
Hayden Sparks of the The Texas wrote that "Abbott made the announcement at a "border summit" in Del Rio, where he appeared with Chief Nim Kidd of the Texas Department of Emergency Management (DEM), Major General Tracy Norris of the Texas Military Department, as well as Colonel Steve McCraw, the director of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)."
"President Biden's open-border policies have led to a humanitarian crisis at our southern border as record levels of illegal immigrants, drugs, and contraband pour into Texas," Abbott declared, saying it was the "most robust and comprehensive border security plan the nation has ever seen."
The governor continued, "While securing the border is the federal government's responsibility, Texas will not sit idly by as this crisis grows. The state is working collaboratively with communities impacted by the crisis to arrest and detain individuals coming into Texas illegally."
I like this move by Abbot. Obviously it will be limited to state and privately owned property. However, it adds to security until we can return sanity to the WH. Also, it will be an irritant to the left
