You don't need to set up a separate stand alone site, you simply join, say, flickr or tinypic to upload your pics and that's it, then you always have a link to post to your own work.

Then you can post a link to them on the forum. Depending on the site, they show up automatically here.

Many people collect stuff they see on the web, especially videos they know will soon be banned, so they upload them for safe keeping so in the future they can show them again.
