They've been mask monkeys for years before covid ever came along. Many were in China too but they still have no conception whatsoever of basic hygene.

When I was there is 72, I was amazed at the amount of people masked up.
I asked the taxi driver why, and he said it was two fold, one, "it is common courtesy to wear a mask when you have a cold."
The other reason he said was pretty obvious, just look at the air, "Japan Is so polluted that people spend much of their time inside and mask up when outside".

He was right, the air back then was worse than La on a bad day. It was summer and he said this is a good day.

Rolling in hot coals doesn't even damage you as badly as this shit, and the pain eventually recedes...
