If you totally bring down the Left then your only left with the Right.  With only the Right left the Left will feel left out.
Also if there is no Left who will reign in the Right because left to themselves the Right will not reign themselves in with no Left to stop them. When the Right (they would eventually) starts to do things you don't like how would you fight that with no left. The Right will start to do things you don't like with no Left to oppose. The Right would eventually start to do
things you hate  then with their total power; how could you fight that. Don't say they would never do that. The Right and Left are no different if they had total control.
