Ted Cruz has a very strong moral center.  Ted Cruz is a very good person.
Barry Soetoro, alias Barack Hussein Obama,
also has a very strong moral center.  B.S./B.O. is a very evil person.
Donald Trump doesn't have a strong moral center.  Mr. Trump is a pragmatist.

I think Mr. Trump sincerely likes the USA, just as much as B.S./B.O. hates America.
Mr. Trump really does want to make America great again.
But I think Mr. Trump doesn't fully understand what it is that makes America great.
It's not business, it's not wealth, it's not military strength, it's not even agriculture.
As Alexis De Tocqueville said:

"I sought for the greatness and genius of America
in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there;
in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there;
in her rich mines and her vast world commence, and it was not there.
Not until I went into the churches of America
and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness
did I understand the secret of her genius and power."

Mr. Trump sincerely tries to be a good person,
but fails to fully understand what goodness is.
He has said on multiple occasions that he's good with God,
that he really doesn't need to ask forgiveness.
Mr. Trump fails to understand a very fundamental doctrine of Christianity:
EVERY LAST ONE OF US HUMANS NEEDS FORGIVENESS -
not just murderers and rapists and robbers and world class con artists like B.S./B.O.
Not just the big, spectacular sinners, but EVERY ONE of us needs forgiveness.


It's been said that B.S./B.O. has damaged America badly enough that
an ordinary conservative can't save the country,
the next President is going to have to be a George Washington!
The next President is going to have to be someone
of such OUTSTANDING moral character
as is seen only once every few hundred years.
A pretty good guy isn't going to be enough!

A Donald Trump isn't good enough.
He's done some good things. 
He's created many thousands of jobs.
He's built thousands of living spaces.
He's done other good things.
But, for the task at hand, all that is not enough.

I'd still like to see Donald Trump in charge of trade negotiations.
He'd be a GREAT guy for a job like that!
We NEED a tough negotiator like Mr. Trump to represent America in that regard.
But, for President, we really need to have someone like Ted Cruz.

The recent attacks by Mr. Trump on Ted Cruz
have tended to sour me on Mr. Trump.
I had hoped that, as they compete for the nomination,
the competition would not get to where they couldn't walk back their statements
and reconcile and become teammates.
It looks to me like that point may have been passed.

There is nothing that Mr. Trump can say that would sour me on Ted Cruz.
Anything negative that Mr. Trump says about Ted Cruz
only serves to make Mr. Trump look bad.

Four years ago, the moral dimension (the most important one) of the election was that
people were eager to believe good about an evil person (B.S./B.O.)
and eager to believe evil about a good person (Herman Cain.)
God gave America a chance to elect a good person,
but America chose evil.
Let's not blow it again!
No Christian anywhere should prefer Donald Trump over Ted Cruz.
I'd still pick Trump over any Democrat, but let's get the best we can!

Talking about "moral center," there's a great video on Breitbart (guess it's verboten to post it--too bad) where Glenn Beck had Cruz on stage and officially came out endorsing him. He also gave Cruz his most prized possession, George Washington's compass. He gave it to him to always remember his moral center as an AMERICAN. Cruz is the one man I expect to remain well grounded.
