Way to early to speculate. More info has to unfold. We all have some suspects, but is fair to also ask how many democrats might not vote for conviction.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Good point. A lot of Dims are in districts Trump took in the election, and you know these Dims are walking on eggshells.

Dems have 47 Senators.  There are 2 "independents" (who vote with the Dems) That's 49.  Assuming the usual suspects ( Romney, Lisa Murkowski & Susan Collins ) vote against their party and the President, that still is only 52.  They need 67!

Everything the House (aided by the media) is doing now, is simply designed to weaken Trump as a candidate for 2020.  It very well may be that the real Democrat nominee may not be any of those who have announce and no one will know until their convention.

Romney is waiting in the wings, hoping the Dump Trump effort of the Never-Trumpers will gain enough momentum to cause a ground swell for a primary challenge.  So far, there' nothing saying this is likely.

By the way, there is a case to be recognized that Americans may be growing weary of all the drama of the Democrats and the President and would prefer plain, white milk and a good old fashioned, Madison Avenue  Smile..!  How many share this sort of sentiment is difficult to say.

The impeachment debate must remind one of their childhood. When criticized the reply was often, 'No, you are'.  Trump is doing that today with the aid of his two henchman Miller and Parscale. They are still investigating Hillary, this will surely make the Guinness book of world records. The most investigated person in human history. Kinda funny but it keeps the base happy. But Pence is an unknown and a religious ideologue, so best in my humble opinion, to keep a vain narcissistic bully and hope that enough Americans vote once again for American values in 2020.

Murkowski is a survivor so going against Trump in AK is unlikely.

Seriously? They've been investigating Trump longer, and there is no Impeachment. Kind of like being convicted of a crime without trial and asked too "Please go to prison".

None f these people are stupid. They certainly can count.  Even Mitter will put a wet finger in the air and decide which way the wind blows and more than likely vote decide that it's best not to vote against his party.

Are you counting the time period when Comey was pretending to investigate?
