Nice goad attempt.

All Ted had to do was defend Trump's right to speak in Chicago.

I'd already donated $50.00 to Ted's campaign a week earlier.  I don't donate so I can be on the same side as Sanders and Soros... and it looks like I'd have been same side as Graham, Perry, Jeb, and Romney as well.

Too bad.  More RINO's.  Is Cruz really angry at 'the Washington-cartel' ?  I've yet to see it.

Why is Cruz obligated to protect Trump?

Uh-huh.

So I'm never on the same side as Dems, especially on the right to free assembly and the First Amendment.

Now you guys are stuck with a tiny blip in your talking-points.  I move forward, blip-free.  My kind of loyalty is good to have beside you when you gaze out over the battlefield.

And exactly where did Cruz hurt the Dons feelings and denounce his right to either?

I already explained it.

He didn't hurt feelings.  He hurt the image he's going-for.  He knows he'll need Trump-voters if you believe his confidence of overcoming the delegate-deficit.  So defend Trump's right to hold an event in Chicago.

It'd be on-tape.  Then wait 12-hours and bash Trump for his rhetoric.  Simple.  Simple campaign-strategy.  Now there's nothing for all the new voters Trump brought to the polls that Cruz can attract them with.  The charm and smarm of an incumbent has replaced the defiant Ted.  His legendary hot-headedness is  becoming ancient history.

Here's excerpts from his latest interview agreeing with Sanders:

Often on the campaign trail I'll observe that I agree with Bernie Sanders. Now that's an unusual thing for a Republican candidate for president to say. But I say, I agree with Bernie Sanders that Washington is corrupt.

That both parties, career politicians in both parties get in bed with the lobbyists and special interests. And the fix is in. Where Washington's policies benefit big business, benefit the rich and the powerful at the expense of the working men and women.

Now the point that I often make, and just a couple of days ago in Wisconsin I was visiting with a young woman who said she was a Bernie Sanders supporter. And I mentioned to her that I agreed with Bernie on the problem.

Gee...  How original.

That's not the defiant Ted, whom I'd defend-and-support in a heartbeat over the current Ted

When I was just elected to the Senate, the very first op-ed I wrote was in the Washington Post. And it was on opportunity conservatism. Which is how I have long described my political philosophy.

'Very first' or 'first'.  Which is it?  And you make sure to say it's an op-ed to excuse the fact you wrote it for a leftist rag like the Washington Post.  A normal conservative would write for a conservative publication first, if it concerns a 'new' take called opportunity conservatism.  WaPo's lib-audience aren't gonna give a crap about it.

The reason that I am a conservative is that I believe the American free enterprise system has been the greatest engine for freedom and prosperity the world's ever seen.

You just said 'Washington-policies benefit big business'.   Which is it?  You should say 'can be an even greater engine'.  Do you want Government totally out of the free-market system, or part-way out?

Pretty bland stuff.  Zero specifics.  Trump's badgered into providing the minutest details of his economic theories while the current Ted can be as superficially pedestrian as it gets.

Yep, and why is it so important and if Trump needs it, they're certain he can buy it.
Like principles and values, the Donald will use it when if he needs to, it's not as if he ran on them like Ted and now he's stuck with them like an anchor.

They seem to have died down.  Does the timing seem to correlate with Lewandowski's arrest?  I miss them coming in telling us how Trump is unstoppable.

Those were the days.

Trump is still ahead in delegates. He's going to win New York State and probably will win California.

Looking at the race today, Trump needs 50 percent of the remaining delegates to stay in the race. Cruz (who by the way I would support in a New York Minute if Trump wasn't running) needs 80 percent of those delegates. That means Cruz is effectively a spoiler.

Just remember, had it not been for Donald Trump our nominee today would have been Jeb Bush and he would be on his way to an Electoral blowout LOSS to the First Vagina.

Ya gotta love a guy that can save us from all that.

Trump is going to win California, eh? You Trump supporters still don't get it. Winning any state requires more than pulling a lever. It requires a statewide organization, in order to pin down the delegates. The system is not made to reward the civically uninvolved, sometime republicans. It's made to favor those people who are politically engaged, who are willing to help the party win elections. Those who believe in "Rule or Ruin" politics - like Trump supporters - aren't really welcome. When was the last time you heard someone, other than a Trump supporter, say that they are in favor of destroying everything.

And when it comes to Ca, you are spot on, Cruz's organization has been in Ca since last Fall and working diligently to secure delegates.
As for Trump out here?

You seem to understand how the election process works less than your candidate.

Incorrect.  Trump keeps losing, but was able to squeeze out some delegates thanks to Rubio.  Now that he's gone, Cruz gets those delegates, along with the new delegates he picks up, along with a bunch of Donald's delegates that he thought he keeps, just because.

You may be happy with someone clueless and disorganized, but we need a leader who can strategize and execute.  Fred's kid just doesn't have that ability, hence why he always loses.

Jeb wouldn't have been the nominee.  He didn't have the support.  He had little support, much like Trump.

I certainly do.  Thankfully, he understands the political process, and has the support, and will send Donnie back to NY where he can continue being a defendant in his fraud lawsuits.

To hear the talking heads in the MSM.

Unless the GOP pulls something dirty at the convention he is. Trump much to my own personal chagrin has the delegate lead at the moment.

And it's all due to the GOP's inability to get it's act together way earlier on in the election cycle.

Who instead of trying to push Jeb or Kasich or Rubio on us all. Should have found and been pushing a truly conservative candidate all along.

Personally I'm not so sure that the situation we see now. Isn't intentional.

Given the way the gop rolls over every time Obozo snaps his fingers.

Face it ladies and gents, we are probably going to have President Clinton round II as the result of the GOP's shenanigans.

Pessimistic, damned straight.

Any conservative/Constitutionalist patriot ought to be, at the prospects of a Clinton round two presidency.
