Okay. Thanks! EG

Why did you post here in the first place?  Do you have a particular point of view that you would like to express?  Or are you posting your blog on various websites to see what sort of responses you get in order to write some sort  of "paper" on the responses?

Why am I reminded of Dr. Zachary Smith from Lost in Space?

I posted here to promote and discuss the journalistic project on my blog. That is not scholarly research as such, as you know. That is an "entrepreneurial journalism" project. Although online responses could be helpful for some sort of research, that is not the direction of my scholarly work. I posted here to discuss the possible criminalization of the opposition to aspects of the LGBT platform here in the USA. We got into a discussion on Kirk, etc., because of the discussion of my credentials. I would be happy to start a thread on Russell Kirk, but that is not my initial intention. Of course, over time, I will want to get into other discussions. And yes, as any good blogger will want to do, I will post/have posted the blog link for promotion and discussion on other locations online. That is ethical as long as one follows the rules of a given site, follows up with discussion, etc.

Thanks!

Okay, without posting the link, I will post a modified version of my blog post here to get the discussion going...

Some have spoken of the "bullying" of those with traditional viewpoints on marriage and sexuality by members and "allies" of the LBGT community. Of course, this is a terminological adaptation of the various discussions of bullying against young people in general and LGBT students in particular. But with recent political and rhetorical trends, I would like to focus on what might be the next step as a larger framework of action in the United States of America, or at least what might be by some the intended next step--criminalization.

So, while conjecturing on the legal future of the United States of America, I will be investigating and analyzing this as a real possibility. I will post various resources with relevant news and/or opinion on this matter. Along the way, I will report my own findings and provide my own analysis. If you want to send a news tip and/or analytic suggestion, please send a message to me directly. Presently, besides analyzing trends in news and opinion, I would be interested in knowing if there is a concerted communicative and financial effort that is intentionally or unintentionally leading us down the path of criminalizing the communicative and financial defense of traditional marriage and traditional morality.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
EG
