Gotcha. Then there's always the kid waiting for that extra nudge from authority as an excuse to steal the guns for (God knows what) never intending to turn them in.

I think a better ending to the PSA would have been when the kid started to pull the gun out of the backpack, they cut to a view of the teacher holding her own Glock pointed straight at the kid and she says calmly, "put the gun on my desk and back away slowly."

They're roundly supporting the "kill the cops" program, which has already yielded results.  Nothing about that so far, except for the classic grumbling of "why I oughtta......."
