So what's the problem with the Amish?

The only thing I can think of, is that they depend on the government for nothing. This runs contrary to every fiber of Obama's being, as well as the message that he preaches daily.

The punishment seems a little harsh, but if we're gonna have "hate crimes," this certainly is one, and it should be punished. I don't think prison is appropriate though. But then, I would only use prison for violent criminals. The rest should be required to pay restitution.

How about his working it off on an Amish farm.  Pickup up  mule poop behind the plow for a coupe of years.  I am guessing hit attitude on right and wrong would change.
