Connecting the dots tells me that
China sent this balloon "to spy on America"
to distract people from the REAL spying

that he actually passed some of the documents to his son Hunter,

You might be on to the reason. IMHO, Biden is too stupid to see why a ruse would be needed, and China is too arrogant to think they need one. China has nothing to fear from the Biden administration. Do you think China gave Biden a chance to look tough against China, and he blew it?

There are a lot of things that don't add up with "Balloon"

FACT:  China has an extensive Network of spy satelites as well as on the ground in country spy programs. The bust of a spy ring working out of Houston last year is but one example of many. That idiot program Tic Tok you have on your phone is another.

So WHY do they need to float a balloon over us...to uplink to one of their satelites? To communicate with ground surveillance/spy systems? Too much chance NSA or DOD Military could home in on signal sent to spy nests like the one in Houston. Assuming of course our govt has such capability....that bring to a whole new set of questions to the table.

Suppose the Chinese developed (or stole) some advanced Surveillance/communication programs that we could not counter...meaning hack. To me this balloon was not wandering aimlessly being blow by air currents like a fart in a windstorm...it was being controlled, either from Beijing or their operatives in the US or CANADA.  This was a test, both to our defense systems and to Chinese technology.

There was a reason this thing wasn't shot down immediately, it might be that our military hacked into it, see where it is sending signals, what satelite it might be uplinking to, scramble the signal send a virus to crash the whole system, uncover their ground agents etc.

I would like to think that is the behind the scenes story but with the bozos in this current administration  both military and civilian all under a commander in Chief who can't make it through a sentence without gibbering I shudder to think of the reality that this may be some juvenile stunt coordinated between an enemy country as a distraction for all the ongoing felonies being perpetrated on a daily basis by Corn pops nemisis.

Okay. Thanks for the information. It gives me. something to work with. The Chinese inteligence network is persuasive. Before I retired, the local university computer network used to get thousands of probes a week and the international students from China always had an intelligence officer embedded in their group. They are always working to acquire influence in Canada, including a few Members of Parliament, just as they do everywhere else. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. We all have our work cut out for us.Currently, the Conservative leader in Canada is on track to replace Prime Minister Trudeau eventually. He appears to have a better grasp on National Security issues.
